If you are a fan of K-pop and interested in Korea you have probably heard about Busan. While a good part of Kpop celebrities are born in the metropolitan area of Seoul there are many others born in other cities in Korea, and even in places far away from the Korean peninsula (such as the US or Germany). But today we are going to talk about Kpop stars who were born in Busan.
Busan is the second most populous city in South Korea, after Seoul, and also one of the most modern in the country. It’s known for its seafood, shopping, nightlife and beaches. The city has been rapidly growing in recent years and is now one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Korea. There are a number of attractions in Busan that you should check out if you’re planning a trip there such as the Haeundae Beach and the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Jungkook from BTS is probably the most famous K-pop start born in Busan. Jungkook has an elder brother. He was not only born in Busan but also raised there. He attended Baekyang Elementary and Middle School in Busan. After that, he moved to Seoul to pursue his career, continuing his studies in Singu Middle School.

Jeong Eunji from Apink
Jeong Eunji is one of the most famous K-pop female stars, which debuted to fame with her participation in the girl group Apink from IST Entertainment. She is exactly from Haeundae in Busan. She was actually born as Jeong Hye-rim but legally changed her name to Jeong Eunji in her teens.
Curiously, she hasn’t had any professional training before joining Apink.
